FAQ
How can I pick up my tickets?
All your tickets will be held at the door of the first concert you attend. The only exceptions are our two concerts at the FirstOntario PAC: tickets to Movie Night and Tafelmusik will be available at the PAC box office one week prior to the concert date, and on the day of the performance.
What if I can’t find my ticket?
If you can’t put your hand to your ticket, just let us know at info@galleryplayers.ca or 416-468-1525 and a replacement ticket will be waiting for you.
Where can I park?
Linwell Church - There is ample free parking behind Linwell Church in their parking lot.
Silver Spire United Church - Street parking (free on Sundays) and a small rear parking lot are available at Silver Spire United Church.
FirstOntario PAC performances - street parking is free on Saturday evenings and Sundays.
For both downtown venues, the City of St. Catharines operates paid parking lots at Head Street, Race Street and off Carlisle Street, all reasonably close to Silver Spire and the PAC. May we suggest arriving in good time to get parking near the venue on days there are multiple events at the PAC and Meridian Centres.
When can I get into the concert?
At Linwell Church and Silver Spire United Church, our box office opens at 2:00 p.m., one hour before the performance. For PAC box office hours click here. At all venues, doors open into the concert hall 30 minutes before the performance begins.
Are all of the performance venues accessible?
Yes! Linwell Church, Silver Spire United Church, and the FirstOntario PAC are all accessible, with drop off zones, designated accessible parking spots, entry ramps, gender-netural accessible washrooms, and elevators. If you require specific assistance please contact us.
What is your seating like?
All seating is general admission. Linwell Church and Silver Spire United Church have wooden pews with a few cushions available. Cushioned theatre seating is available at the Recital Hall and the Film House, FirstOntario Performing Arts Centre. All of our venues have designated spaces for mobility devices.
Can I take pictures and videos?
You are welcome to take NON-FLASH photos, and to post and share them! Video recording is not permitted. Please be considerate of other concert patrons as you capture that perfect shot.
Can I get to the venue using public transit?
All Gallery Players performance venues are on bus routes. You can plan your trips at https://transitapp.com/
Why are most of your concerts in churches?
Concert venues are chosen primarily for acoustics, then accessibility, size, and affordability. As it happens, area churches are built to have the audio quality we need to showcase the gorgeous – but unamplified! - music we present. And rental fees at churches are manageable, allowing us to keep costs for our patrons as low as possible.
Do you sell CD’s?
Yes we do. Gallery Players has a broad selection of CD’s, and many of our guest artists bring samples of their catalogues. We have markers on hand if you’d like an autograph!
Why do tickets cost so much?
Gallery Players engages professional musicians, and is committed to paying them fairly. Did you know, ticket revenue only covers 25% of our total expenses? That said, we believe in barrier-free access to the arts, and proudly offer Pay-What-You-Choose tickets to be sure more people can experience the joy of live music.
Can I meet the musicians?
Absolutely! stay and say hello after the concert. Gallery Players concerts are informal and welcoming and, time and travel permitting, musicians would love to meet their audience!
