The Gallery Players of Niagara introduces The Bach Walk
An Ontario Culture Days 2026 Event
Follow our Downtown Concert Trail - Six Suites. Six Venues.
St Catharines, ON, (September 1, 2026) - Join Gallery Players of Niagara, one of Niagara’s most prominent presenters of intimate concert music, for a walkable musical adventure through downtown St. Catharines, where J.S. Bach’s complete ‘Cello Suites come alive in six delightfully unexpected venues. Performed on ‘cello, guitar, double bass, viola, and bassoon, these beloved works reveal new colours and perspectives at every stop, inviting audiences on a shared journey of discovery and celebration.
The event takes place on Saturday, September 19, 2026, and is presented for free as part of Culture Days 2026. No tickets needed!
Says Margaret Gay, Artistic & Administrative Director: “The Bach Walk is an invitation to experience this extraordinary music in a whole new way. We’re taking his music out of the concert hall and having fun walking through downtown St. Catharines, hearing each suite in a different space and discovering just how beautifully Bach’s music speaks through different instruments.”
The event begins at 1pm on Saturday September 19, come to one concert or come to all!
